Georgia Tallman

Georgia Tallman specializes in Elementary Education and teaches our Grades 1–4 Math Classes, including both Singapore Math Method courses and early Competition Math for Grades 1–2.

Georgia has a gift for helping young learners build confidence and discover the fun in math.

Before joining Tampa Bay Test Prep, she taught fourth grade in a traditional classroom and later homeschooled her three children—an experience that deepened her appreciation for individualized learning. Parents consistently praise her warmth, dedication, and ability to make math engaging for every child.

Daniel McKemy

Daniel has been teaching with Tampa Bay Test Prep since June 2020, specializing in both Singapore Math and Competition Math (including Math Kangaroo and AMC 8 preparation). He has received numerous 5-star reviews on Outschool, many of which include positive comments from parents and students. One of his private students placed second in their state in the May 2024 Math Kangaroo competition.

Before joining Tampa Bay Test Prep, Daniel spent over two years teaching Pre-Algebra and tutoring privately at Lakeway Christian Schools. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Carson-Newman College and attended the University of Tennessee for two years.

Allison Jones

Allison Jones is a biomedical engineering PhD candidate at the University of Tennessee with a master’s degree in biomedical engineering and bachelor’s degrees in both physics and mathematics.

She has more than five years of experience tutoring elementary school through college-level students in math, physics, and STEM test preparation.

Allison builds learner confidence and supports students at all levels—from foundational algebra to advanced calculus. Her goal is to make complex ideas approachable, build strong problem-solving skills, and help every student feel capable and empowered in STEM.

Dr. Pingnan Shi

Dr. Ping earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada. He spent over 20 years as a senior engineer in the telecommunications industry and holds 15 U.S. patents.

Motivated by his concern for math education in the United States, he transitioned to teaching high school mathematics in 2011. In 2018, he began tutoring to better support students who were not receiving strong math instruction in their schools.

Dr. Ping enjoys helping students excel in competition math, particularly in the AMC 8 and AMC 10. He also leads a local math club that prepares students for MathCounts and other middle school competitions.

Kaya Chua

Kaya Chua is a proud Stanford alumna with a degree in mathematics. As a former high school mathlete, she has personal experience competing in numerous math contests, including twice qualifying for the USA Mathematical Olympiad.

She was formerly a secondary mathematics instructor at Stanford’s Education Program for Gifted Youth. As part of her duties, she also taught math for Stanford Online High School and Stanford Math Camp. She has a decade of experience tutoring math at all levels, including coaching students for the AMC and AIME competitions. She also has extensive experience as a test prep tutor and has successfully prepared clients for the GMAT, GRE, LSAT, SAT, ACT, ISEE, and SSAT exams.

Stan Mazo

Stan Mazo is a graduate of Northwestern University and a former management consultant with over a decade of tutoring experience. Since 2011, he has worked with students across a range of subjects and levels, helping them improve both understanding and performance.

Stan uses a structured, data-driven approach to tutoring, relying on tools he developed to identify gaps and focus on the areas that lead to the greatest score gains. As an active member of the National Test Prep Association, he stays current on best practices and testing trends to help students work toward strong, measurable results.
